The Adventure of Mommyhood

This is a companion site to the website I maintain for my son. That one houses pictures and comments on his life and development, and this one will be for my own thoughts and comments on life as a mommy. Being mommy to an infant means I will not post too often, but hopefully it will be enough to let friends and family feel included in our lives even if they are far away. :-)

I am Mommy to two rambunctious little boys. Darrin AKA "Bear" will be 8 in December, and Chase turned 5 in July. I graduated from Pearland High School in 1996, and went to college for a few years, but didn't earn a degree (wasn't really going for one anyway).

Class Reunion, Y'all

Howdy howdy howdy!
So...there's going to be a reunion this year! My ten-year high school reunion, that is. My sweet hubby and I will be attending. My mom has graciously offered to take care of our Little Bear for as long as we need her to. Darrin is ALWAYS welcome at Grammy and Grandaddy's house. They, like we and everyone else, simply can't get enough of him. Grandaddy is "Ah-Dee-Dee" by the way, according to Darrin. :-)

Anyway, my point in posting today is to help get the word out to everyone who graduated from Pearland High School in 1996 like I did. The reunion will be June 10th, 2006, from 8 PM to 1 AM. It will be at the Hyatt Regency hotel, at 1200 Louisiana St, in Houston, TX. Tickets are steep, but surely you can scrounge together $60 in the next couple of months. Choir people, I expect you to be there! We may even have to break into a chorus of Circle of Friends.....errr.....okay, if I promise that you WON'T have to, will you come? Pleeeeease? For more details, check out www.ClassMates.com, or the actual reunion website at www.reunionteam.com. If you know anyone in the class, please spread the word!

If you're interested in booking a room at the hotel, there is a special rate. I booked one. Even if you live nearby, do you really want to drive home that late at night? Or maybe you would like to stay up all night and reminisce with your old buddies? You'd need a room. Anyway, call 1-800-233-1234 and make sure they give you the special rate for rooms that have already been earmarked for reunion-goers. It should be $89 (not $125) for the basic rate.

I hope to see you all there!
